Want to become a more effective consultant by improving your consultancy skills?
Do you wish you could be a better consultant, but just don’t know where to start? Want to turn yourself from a mediocre consultant into a GREAT one?
At BeConsultwise we know that being a Consultant is tough.
Not only do you need to be a specialist in your subject matter, knowledgeable and well-informed, you must be good with people, a great communicator; and that just doesn’t mean being able to talk the hind legs off a donkey.
Becoming a specialist in your subject matter, albeit a computer system, business analytics or recruitment, is just the start of you becoming a great consultant. As well as your knowledge base you need great people skills and, the dreaded, by some, documentation expertise. Alongside all these skills you also need to be good with managing your time and working in a diverse team.
You need to be able to connect with people from all different walks of life and varying levels of management. You need to act professionally without coming across as arrogant. Be confident without coming across as superior. Be knowledgeable without coming across as big-headed.
If you have a specific area you feel needs working on or you are new to consulting our Consultancy Skills course (part one) looks at consultancy dos and don’ts, styles, customer engagement, documentation, follow-up and deadlines. All the basic skills you need to understand and enhance your own day to day practices.
We can assist you to gain the skills you require to be the best consultant you can be. You will not find training materials on our site that cannot be linked back, in some way, to the educational needs, lifestyle choices, and entrepreneurial skills required to be, not just a Good consultant but a Great one.
At BeConsultwise our aim is to encourage our members to help and support each other, giving ideas and advice on how to achieve things like improving your documentation skills. So, why not come and check us out and see if there is a discussion on a subject close to your heart.
